Alicia and Captain - Spring Gathering 2008

Hi! I'm Captain, a 6 yr old pinto gelding.
Valerie got me from a lady in the spring of '07 that had only been trail riding with me. At first I was a little bit "pokey". It took me a while to get up to speed with the other drill horses. However, I took right to performances and carrying the flag. I started out just participating in the National Anthem and am now a full competition and parade horse. I am currently being ridden by Alicia. Alicia took me to the beach one time and I was really good. I hope I get to go back someday. Everyone says I look fabulous in royal blue.

Hi,  my name is "Ima Baywatch Babe". Everyone just calls me Lola. I am 7 years old and this is my first year doing drill. Chelsea started riding me at Diamond N Farms where I live about 2 years ago. I live on a farm with about 20 other horses, 50 miniature donkeys, emus, deer, peacocks, pigs, and cows. Needless to say, not much bothers me. I am very easy going and manage to get along with just about everybody. I like getting to do drill because it helps me to keep a better "girlish figure". I have a little bit of a sweet tooth and love my treats! Lola and Chelsea  Lola and Chelsea - Giddings 2008

Hi, my name is Mylie (Time of my Life).
I was purchased as a 20th anniversary gift for Valerie by her husband John.
I used to run barrels, but it was really hard and not near as much fun as drill.
I have been doing drill for about 3 1/2 yrs.
At my very first drill competition, I earned "recognized horse" I am sure it was because of my tail that is so long, it drags the ground (the other horses are so jealous).
I am a responsive drill horse and have been ridden by several riders, Valerie, Chelsea, Cat on occasion and recently Amanda.
I was not the first to carry the "pyro pole" for the cowgirls, but have done it on numerous occasions.
I look best in red and glitter.

Hey y'all, I'm Savvy and a new addition to the LSC 'horses in training' team!
I'm 7 years old and really want to get into the swing of things because I hate when Cat and Skip leave the house without me!
I'm in the process of learning all the stuff I need to know to be a good LSC horse.
When I am not being trained, I really like herding Skip and Shiloh around the pasture 'cause it's fun to make them run around!

Hi, I'm Skip!
I'm 5 years old and Val's horse, Mylie, is my big sister. Val and Cat bought us at totally different times in different parts of Texas and boy, were they surprised to find out we were brother and sister. Since Val and Cat are sisters, it fits perfect!
I have been doing drill since I was 3, and I have learned to be practically 'bombproof'. Cat thinks she could put anyone from 18 months to 80 on me and I would be a good boy!
I really like obliques and do-si-dos, and pay such close attention I might be able to do the drill myself if Cat fell off!
I like getting dressed up and when the music starts, I know it's 'showtime' for us!
When I'm not doing drill, I really just like standing around and eating as evidenced by my not-so-skinny figure!
Cat and I are a good team and I hope Cat is my 'forever' owner because we have such a good time together!

Hey, I'm Sky (Everyone calls me Sky Baby cause I am the youngest horse in the group right now.) I am 4 yrs old and have been in drill training for about 6 months. My first LSC "gig" was a Christmas parade. I did really good so Valerie started riding me at practice and took me to my first competition in March '08. I was originally acquired in a "trade". Valerie had a horse that was not a colored paint and wanted to trade for another "loud" paint. So...I fit the costume so to speak. I have been really good with the other horses and not much bothers me. I tend to be a little on the lazy side though, so put your spurs on!
